I had never dreamt of becoming a tattoo artist and knew little of the advances being made by artists throughout the world in this field. It’s only since working there that I have come to realise just how lucky I am. Jim and his partner, Lizi Sage, taught me that tattooing is a very serious art-form. You have to be at your best every day, no mistakes and I work with a team of incredibly talented artists who constantly force me to raise my game because they are forever raising theirs. It makes for a very creative environment and is the most fun I have ever had in my life! With such a diverse range of styles between us, there will be someone at the studio to suit your needs. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly and no booking is needed when coming to discuss a tattoo, though we are booking several months in advance so don’t expect to get something the same day. We specialize in custom work, we have no books to choose designs from, only artists portfolio’s. If you are in all day then lunch is provided. Enjoy the site and we hope to see you soon. I’ve been tattooing since June 2006, previous to this I’d spent the majority of my life as a Ventilation Engineer. Raised in a single parent household and being the only child, creating forms of entertainment for myself was a must. The four walls of the compact studio apartment I once lived in gave minimum room for my mother, grandmother, and I to have much space of our own to roam, but with a pencil and paper I always knew how to create a world of my own and roam free without a care.
I have always been an artist, now, skin is just the canvas I prefer. I have been tattooing since 2007 and with every tattoo I do I only see myself getting better. Do I consider tattooing a job?? No. For now this is just a craft that happens to support me financially. It is something that I always want to be able to do but not something that I want to HAVE to do. Once you are obligated to do something you lose a certain love for it and I would never want any of my crafts to get to that point. I am just using this as a stepping stone to spread my artwork as well as my name. I do have long term goals that i want to accomplish but I find that your long term goals are ultimately based on what you accomplish on short term, so right now I am focusing on perfecting my tattooing skills.
